The Popstar Academy 10-Week Online Training Bootcamp is an elite artist development experience designed for youth ages 13–17 and adults with some performance or music experience. If you’re ready to take your artistry to the next level, this program is for you.

You don’t need an audition to join PopStar Academy Online—but if you want to shine in the live-streamed showcase at the end, you’ll need to audition for a spot on stage!

Rehearsals
All In-Person rehearsals will take place in a professional dance/performance space located in Mesa, AZ. This space is designed to give participants the environment and energy needed to train, rehearse, and shine like true performers.
🎤 Audition Overview: In-Person Participation

Auditions are required for in-person participants of PopStar Academy. After you complete your registration payment, you’ll be redirected to a form with details on how to submit your audition video. Videos should feature the participant singing their favorite song (first verse and chorus, or about 1:30) over a karaoke/instrumental track. Mr. Arttaygo will reach out within 48 hours of registration to confirm next steps. All submissions are kept private and used only for placement purposes.

Mr. Arttaygo is a working live entertainer who performs family-friendly original music at venues across the United States. With over 25 years of performing arts education and live performance experience, he brings unmatched expertise in songwriting, choreography, and show development. Through his proven methods, you’ll learn not only how to perform like a popstar—but how to become one.
💻 How It Works: Online Participation
Online classes will be hosted inside the Mr. Arttaygo App, which can be accessed from any mobile device, tablet, laptop, or desktop for maximum flexibility.

In Person will rehearsals will be held in a dance studio setting, in close relation to downtown Tempe or Scottsdales, AZ depending upon enrollment numbers.

Q: What are the age requirements to participate?
A: The program is open to youth ages 13–17 and adults 18+.
Q: How long is the bootcamp?
A: The bootcamp runs for 10 weeks.
Q: Is an audition required for online participation?
A: No prepared audition is needed to register. However, if you wish to participate in the live showcase, you will need to submit an audition video. Peer voting will support the process of selecting showcase performers. *An audition IS required for in person participation.
Q: What is required for the audition video? (In-Person Participation Only)
A: We want to hear your voice and feel your vibe. You'll sing a verse and chorus of your favorite song over an instrumental/karaoke track with no lead vocals. More details after registration.
Q: Do I need previous singing or performance experience? (Online Participation)
A: Singing or performance experience is preferred but not required. Please note that we do not teach you how to sing. Instead, we provide techniques to enhance your natural abilities and help you shine your brightest as a performer.
Q: What is the tuition cost?
A: Tuition for the 10-week bootcamp is $1547. For Online and In-Person Participation.
Q: Are payment plans available?
A: Yes. You may pay in 2 or 3 installments (beginning after your registration) or as a single lump sum. Please note there is a small additional fee for multi-payment processing.
Q: What is the performance kit and how much does it cost?
A: The performance kit is purchased separately through Amazon.com and costs between $550. You will receive a recommended list of items that will be shipped directly to your door. This ensures easy replacements or support through Amazon if needed.
Q: What if I miss a class?
A: Don’t worry—class replays will be available in the Mr. Arttaygo app within 48 hours of each live class.
Q: Where will classes be hosted?
A: Online Participants: All classes will be hosted in the Mr. Arttaygo app, accessible from mobile devices, tablets, laptops, and desktops.
B: In-Person Participants: In close relation to downtown tempe or scottsdale in a dance/Performance Studio Setting.
Q: Do parents need to be present during youth sessions? (Online Participation)
A: Parents are not required to be present for youth sessions and it is recommended that they allow their child to participate independently. However, parents are welcome to attend as long as they do not interrupt the class.
Q: What will the finale include? (Online Participation)
A: The bootcamp concludes with a live-streamed finale where selected participants will showcase their new musical works and shine as the Popstars they’ve become.
Q: What if I am registering more than one participant?
A: You may increase the number of registrations on the payment page. After your pre-registration, you will be able to input participant information for each individual.

❓ Will adults and teens be learning in the same space? (Online Participation)
No. While classes for adults and teens are held live at the same time, they take place in separate rooms/spaces. You may be able to hear the other group during live trainings, but there won’t be direct interaction.
(In Person Participation) No. However, later in the program, with consent, there may be opportunities for teens and adults to interact through structured activities. This may also include structured interaction during the Live Stream Showcase, where both groups may share the stage in a guided and creative way.
❓ How do you ensure safety and comfort during live sessions?
Each group (teens and adults) is guided separately to ensure a focused and age-appropriate learning environment. Any interaction between groups is facilitated by Mr. Arttaygo and only happens with consent from both students and guardians.
❓ Why are classes for adults and teens scheduled at the same time?
Classes run in parallel so that both age groups can experience the energy and momentum of live learning without having to overlap in the same space. This approach allows families and individuals to grow at the same pace, while still respecting age differences.
❓ What kind of interaction might happen between teens and adults later in the program?
When consent is given, there may be opportunities for collaborative performances, group discussions, or creative projects. These structured activities are designed to be positive, safe, and optional. Interaction may also take place during the Live Stream Showcase/In Person Community Showcase where teens and adults may collaborate in a performance setting.
❓ Can teens opt out of interacting with adults?
Yes. Teens (and their guardians) have full control over participation in any cross-group activities, including showcase opportunities. Choosing not to interact does not impact the teen’s progress in the program.
